My picky dog Kaia loves it!

My fur girl is a huge fan of the Crunch Munch Chicken Jazz. We call them cookies and these are one of her favorites.

Loved the treats, but I do have one important safety suggestion for the company. There is a deoxidizer/oxygen absorber packet inside the package to help protect the duck treats from spoilage.

A friend was giving treats to my 55-lb Weimaraner and 13-lb dachshund and didn't notice that the deoxidizer packet had fallen out onto the table. Our Weimaraner grabbed it, and he assumed she was simply grabbing another treat. When we returned home, we found the packet torn open and the dark powder from inside scattered on the floor.

Our immediate concern was that our much smaller dachshund might have ingested some of the contents. We contacted a veterinarian and monitored her for possible iron poisoning, and thankfully she was fine.

After doing some research, I learned that an oxygen absorber is an appropriate way to protect dried duck treats from spoilage, so I understand why the packet is necessary. My concern is simply that, after sitting inside a bag of very appealing dog treats, the packet itself may smell like a treat to a dog.

I would strongly encourage the company to put a prominent warning on the outside of the package reminding owners to locate and immediately discard the deoxidizer packet before giving treats to their dogs. It would be a simple precaution that could potentially prevent a frightening situation, particularly with a small dog.

The treats themselves were a big hit with our dogs, and I would buy them again. I just think a more visible safety warning would be a very worthwhile addition to the packaging.

They seem to really like it I just have to break it up into very small pieces or else they spit it out. Other than that I’m glad they enjoy it!

Picked these up at my local farmer's market because, like any good pet parent, I love spoiling my cat. And as it turns out, they're the perfect post-toothbrushing reward -- with the added bonus of making his fur noticeably softer and shinier. I didn't think it was possible for him to get cuter, but he did! Win-win all around.
